With teacher layoffs and school closures,
scant humanities or after school programs,
some look to other methods of learning.
What can we do about this? How can we bring
jobs back? What kind of jobs will give us the most return
on our investment?
With police forces cut to the bone, how
will we protect our city? Is virtual
surveillance the way to go?
Health care costs are high, too high for face-to-face
doctor visits? If only our bodies didn’t break down.
With so many problems here, perhaps we should
just start over.
Commute times are achingly long, and the public
transportation budget gets smaller and smaller.
Surely there must be another way?
So tired of the pre-scripted Hollywood formula, surely
you could make something better than that?
With City supported celebrations drastically down-sized,
citizens are still finding ways to express themselves.
How do we go forward? How do we balance our
creativity with real world challenges?
